Masterclass - Supervising large cohorts of research students

This masterclass is an opportunity for supervisors who have several research students to get together with other similar supervisors and share strategies about what works, the difficulties they sometimes face, and discuss any other issues that arise.

Topics could include:

• Finding time for individual students when you have large cohorts
• Delegation of tasks
• Creating a supportive culture amongst the cohort
• Encouraging students to mentor each other
• Responding to students' differences
• Other topics raised by participants.
